The Telecommunication PHQrs Sub Unit is formed for the effective control and coordination of various Communication and Computer related activities of all the Offices in Police HQrs by the Telecommunication Unit.
The Unit has been came into effect on 24-09-2021 at the new building in Police Headquarters vide order SO No.214/2021/ Tele Dated:24-09-2021.
The inauguration of Telecommunication PHQrs Sub Unit has been done by the Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Shri. Manoj Abraham IPS.
The Unit is acting as a main pillar in all the Technology oriented Programs like Police Video Conferences, CCTV Projects, Computer Networking, POLNET Satellite Communication, ERSS, CoB and VHF Communication etc of the Police Department.
