  Office of the Inspector of Police, Telecommunication, Thrissur is functioning at Civil station Campus Ayyanthole, in the building provided by the District Collector, Thrissur. On bifurcation of Police District as Thrissur City and Thrissur Rural, Inspector of Police, Telecommunication, Thrissur is excersising over all supervision of both the Thrissur City and Thrissur Rural since Police Telecommunication at Thrissur is not bifurcated. However, as per the orders of DPC Thrissur City, a fully machinery of Police Telecommunication started functioning at DPC Thrissur City Office, RVPuram, Thrissur. No additional strength is created or provided in this regard and communication of both Police Districts are maintained by the existing staff of this sub unit.

Other sections/sub units maintained by this unit

1. VHF Communication duties of KAP1st BN & KEPA are providing by  this sub unit.
2. CoB communication arrangements are provided for DPC office and Kerala Police Academy(KEPA) and KAP1Bn. VHF Communication arrangements are provided for L&O purpose with control rooms , with 35 Police Stations and 15 Inspectors of Police.

          2 Low band Repeaters, One for Thrissur City and other for Thrissur Rural are functioning at District Repeater Station, Poomala at our own Land and building. A link repeater Station is also functioning at Kodavathukkunnu in Mala PS limit on a Building of KWA.
1-VHF High band Digital/Analog Repeater Net work is maintaining exclusively for Kerala Police Academy (KEPA).
One UHF Network at Thrissur for Thrissur City Traffic Control, One H/B Network at Guruvayur for Guruvayur Temple bandobust arrangements and a H/B Network at Kodungallur are also functioning under this subunit.
  Thrissur Pooram, Bon - Natala PuthanPalli Church Festival, Ollur Church Festival, Peechi Temple Festival, Pavaratty Church Festival, Pavaratty Shashti Festival, Koorkkanchery Temple Festival, GuruvayoorTemple Festival etc are some of the importance festival in which Police Telecommunication unit provides Communication arrangements for the control of large number of devotees in Thrissur City limit

  Thiruvullakkavu Temple Festival, Uthralikkavu Temple Festival, Manathala Mosque Festival, Manathala Temple Festival, Anthikkad Boat Race, Valapad Beach Festival, Triprayar Temple Festival,  Azhikode Coastal Special Combing, Kodungallur Temple Festival, Kodungallur Beach Festival,  Irinjalakuda Church Festival, Koodal Manikyam Temple Festival, Koratty Church Festival, Chalakudy Church Festival, Chelakara AnthiMaha KalanKavu Temple,  Festival Arattupuzha Pooram etc are some of the important Festivals/Functions in which large crowds are expected in Thrissur Rural district limit.
