  Telecommunication unit is entrusted with upkeep and maintenance of all communication channels and equipments. To provide Telecommunication network to the day to day policing in the District, there functioning a telecommunication unit in the district under the supervision of  Inspector of Police, Telecommunication. It is located adjacent to the DPC office and Dist.Jail.
Telecommunication unit of Alappuzha is headed by Inspector of Police, Telecommunication. About 40 numbers of Police officials in the ranks of Sub Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Head Constables and Police Constables from Kerala Police Telecommunication is working in this unit for upkeep and maintenance of communication channels and the equipment. For the repair and maintenance of Computers in the District, an active  District Computer Maintenance Unit (DCMU) is also functioning within the Telecommunication Sub Unit. Police Communication over wireless in all Police stations, Police Offices and Police vehicles are done by this Unit. A video conference arrangement is also managed by this unit at the DPC office. Radio Workshop of this Unit conducts the basic repair and maintenance of Wireless Equipment and Accessories. The major level testing, evaluation and programming tasks of W/T Sets and Accessories, which could not be carried out from this end are being carried out at Central Workshop, Telecommunication HQrs.

Repeater Stations
  The District Communication Tower and Repeater is situated at Vagamon Idukki, a higher altitude spot. The towns are covered in VHF High Band communication Alappuzha and Chengannur for the regulation of traffic.  Special communication arrangements are also providing for the Popular Nehru trophy Boat race, Champakkulam Boat race, Karuvaatta Boat race, Paayippattu Boat Race, Pallana Boat race, Maannar Mahaathma Boat race, Pulinkunnu Boat race, Mathe Theressa Boat race, Pulinkunnu Boat race, Edathuava Church,Arthungal Church,Pallippuram Church fest, Thankichurch,Poonkavu church, Chettikkulangara Bharani fest, Kanichukulangara Temple fest, Aravukaadu temple fest,Trikkunnappuzha Karkkadakavavu fest, Vaaranadu Bharani fest, Mannarassala AAyillyam,Vettkkode Nagar Kavu and Chakkulathukavu Ponkala.
